About Us
Katoa Connect works alongside learners, whānau, communities, and partners across Aotearoa to build digital confidence, access, and participation.
We partner with local communities to deliver digital inclusion programmes that create real impact.
Our learners are better able to access education, find work, easily access the services and products they want, manage their health, and stay connected with their communities.
“Ka taea e tātou katoa o Aotearoa ngā kaha matihiko ki te whai wāhi i te Ao.”
Every person in Aotearoa has the digital capabilities to fully participate in the world.
This is Katoa Connect Trust’s bicultural foundational framework. It is a guiding and relevant strategic framework that brings our organisation to life.
Our vision
Our mission
To achieve digital inclusion in communities through partnering on programme delivery and advocacy.
Our guiding principles
We honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi and strive to be trustworthy, responsive, respectful, open, and vibrant:
Kaupapa: the reason we exist
Te Mahi: the work we do
Te Tangata: the people we work with
Whanaungatanga: the approach we take
Katoa Connect is guided by a dedicated team and trustees who bring a shared commitment to digital inclusion across Aotearoa. Together, they provide leadership, experience, and a deep connection to the communities we work alongside.
Our strategic priorities
(2026–2028)
Our strategic priorities focus on strengthening digital inclusion across Aotearoa through community partnerships, capability building, and long-term impact.
Build more: empower growth
Broaden impact within existing communities (Māori, Pasifika, Refugees and Seniors) by updating curriculum with AI and cybersecurity modules.
Build new: intentional inclusion
Prioritise equitable access for disabled communities, specifically targeting the 52% assistance gap through co-design with partners.
Build on: organisational excellence
Strengthen expertise and government relationships while establishing a New Zealand Digital Equity Index as a core evidence base for advocacy.
2026 - Build, prioritise and provide
Focus on foundational digital capacity and capability.
2027 - Advance and expand
Develop mid-level subject-specific courses (e.g. health and financial literacy) and expand disability access through expert partnerships.
2028 - Lead and innovate
Delivery of high-level, multi-channel courses underpinned by digital safety education.
